An illustrated talk by Dr Sheila Wright, Curator of Biology at Nottingham Natural History Museum, Wollaton Hall. The talk will include the famous lions of the Gir Forest – of which we have an historic specimen on display at the museum, which attendees will be able to view at leisure on the evening of the talk. The other amazing wildlife of Gujarat State in India will also be covered – including that of the marine national park in the Gulf of Kutch, Blackbuck National Park, and the deserts of the Little Rann of Kutch – where rare Asiatic Wild Asses still roam.
