Festival of Science & Curiosity
We are working in collaboration with the Nottingham Festival of Science & Curiosity, an event celebrating the importance of Science, Technology, Engineering and Maths for children, with interactive fun and free events across Nottingham.
We will hold a range of free exciting science activities for a jam packed weekend during the 15th – 16th February at Wollaton Hall, in both our Hall and the Camellia House.
Activities in the main hall will run all weekend and include ExplorerDome, an inflatable planetarium, Specimen handling sessions, Make and launch your own rocket, CollAge and demonstrations on Conducting Nature and Carbon Chemistry Busking. Visit our Family Fun Weekend page for full details.
All weekend we will also be running exciting Plant Blindness Workshops in the Camellia House, delving deep into the world of plants through sound and movement, as part of our ongoing Plant Blindness Exhibition.
What better way to engage your inquisitive little ones in the school holidays than through exploring plants. They'll get the opportunity to listen to the plants, capture their appearance through art and an imaginative writing session.
Visit the Plant Blindness Workshops page for full details.
Being the school holidays, the best news is that all the events are free for the whole family, and while you are at Wollaton Hall & Deer Park you will be able to take a lovely stroll around the grounds as a family, and the kids can enjoy our Flower Power trail available in the shop too – there’s no need to book ahead, just drop in and enjoy.
