Lions and Company - the Pride of Gujarat Talk

An illustrated talk on the lions and other amazing wildlife of  Gujarat state in north-west India. 

An illustrated talk by Dr Sheila Wright, Curator of Biology at Nottingham Natural History Museum, Wollaton Hall. The talk will cover the famous lions of the Gir Forest in Gujarat – of which we have an historic specimen on display at the museum which attendees will be able to view at leisure on the evening of the talk. The other amazing wildlife of Gujarat State in India will also be included – such as that of the marine national park in the Gulf of Kutch, Blackbuck National Park, and the deserts of the Little Rann of Kutch – where rare Asiatic Wild Asses still roam.


Drinks and a range of tasty Indian snacks are included in the ticket price, and will be served in the Great Hall following the talk.
