Photography and filming

Wollaton Hall is a stunning location and backdrop for film and photographic shoots offering unique interiors and diverse parkland to frame almost any situation or requirement. 

In 2011, Wollaton Hall became ‘Wayne Manor’ and one of the primary film locations for Christopher Nolan’s, The Dark Knight Rises. It has also been used TV and photography shoots.

Photography for personal use is welcome, however lighting equipment may not be used in Wollaton Hall. Flash photography may also be restricted.

We do not allow drone flying at any time over Wollaton Park except by contractors commissioned by Nottingham City Council for a specific purpose, who satisfy stringent CAA criteria, have the correct insurances and are operating under controlled conditions.

Professional/Commercial photography is allowed by prior appointment and a permit is required.

Please note that wedding photography is exclusive to couples getting married at Wollaton Hall.

Visitors dressed in wedding attire will not be allowed access to the house or gardens unless they have prior consent.

We reserve the right to ask visitors taking part in wedding, engagement, portrait or commercial photography to leave the premises if they cannot produce a valid permit.
